I Have To Speak

It is not because I have the right,
Not because I am upright,
Not even because I am drunk,
I may not even have a sober reason,
But I have to speak.

Take me to an asylum,
Thinking I am nuts,
You may refuse to understand,
You may muff your ears,
But I have to speak.

I will speak for the few,
As for the rest of you,
I have to dissapoint,
I know you don't get the point,
But I have to speak.

The evils in the society,
Inhumane rights everyday,
Theft, corruption and murder,
I know its not my job to utter,
But I have to speak.

Degradation of nature,
Corruption with no measure,
Moral decadence is a major,
Threaten me not to dare,
But I have to speak.

People sleep in the cold,
They have stories untold,
Parents lull their children with a scold,
Some even end up sold,
Slavery at this day and age,
Its time we turned a new page,
You can heckle and boo,
But I HAVE TO SPEAK.
