Breast Cancer

He was out for pleasure,
Sexual as it could have been,
They had kissed like never,
Now he was jumping into the obscene.

He slid his arm into her blouse,
He cupped the warm breast,
The feeling did not arouse,
He immediately knew that she needed a test.

The lump was as that of his patient,
Some careers just follow you to your personal life,
Why was medical practice so prudent?
He did not want to break the heart of a young life.

But he was as sure as death,
The lump was that of breast cancer,
He couldn't tell Beth,
The thought gave him an ulcer.

He managed to convince her,
To go to the hospital the following day,
She thought it was a fever,
After all her boyfriend her offered to pay.

Her face was green with fear,
She never thought she could get breast cancer,
She couldn't hear what the doctor said next,
She felt she was the one to die next.

She had ignored all the scan campaigns,
Ignorance paid her back with all these pains,
Had she gone for the scan earlier,
Her breast couldn't have left her.

Six months down the line,
She can afford a smile,
And thank God for a treatment gone fine,
Make sure you too maintain your smile.

Go for a breast cancer scan.
